Quick And Healthy Breakfast Options

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as you are having food and drink after about 8 hours in breakfast. Most of us being pressed for time, either make do with whatever is available in the name of breakfast or skip this most important meal of the day.People who regularly have breakfast are healthier, more energetic and more immune to depression pangs than those who do not take breakfast. Of course, the idea here is to eat healthy and not gorge on muffins and cream soufflé.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

 Here are some options to conjure up a quick and healthy breakfast for people on the go.

  • Strawberry Banana Smoothie:-

Blend a banana, a few strawberries, and 2 tablespoons of crushed ice with low fat milk or soymilk and add a teaspoon of protein powder and a dollop of natural yogurt to it. Voila! Your fibre rich protein breakfast with 2 portions of your fruit requirement is ready. You can even make it the night before and keep it in the fridge. Just take it out and stand for a while on the counter as you brush then drink it up or simply take it as you drive to work.

  •  Cheese Walnut Fruit Combo:-

Pack a few pieces of your favourite cheese and a few walnuts in a carry along pack at night. In the morning, toss in a few slices of apple and you are ready for that drive to work with the breakfast with you. Munch it on the way and take on the day with full energy.

  •  Overnight Oats with Blueberry:

Combine about half a cup of oats, one cup of almond milk, 2 scooped tablespoons of yogurt, and a dollop of honey and keep it in the fridge overnight. Come morning just add a few blueberries or any other fruit of your choice to this along with some almonds. Will you be ever too rushed for breakfast again?

  •  Peanut Butter Wholegrain Bread with Cold Milk:

Spread peanut butter on a slice of wholegrain bread and sprinkle with a few raisins and sesame seeds to make a wholesome and fibre rich nutritious breakfast. Down it with a glass of cold fat free milk or soymilk.

  •  Cereals with Milk:

Add a twist to the all-time favourite cereal breakfast by adding strawberry, vanilla or lemon yogurt with the bowl of bran flakes and toss in a few berries and nuts for added crunchiness.
