Nuts are probably one of the most underrated snacks that people eat. They have some important health benefits too that you might not know of or ignore. Nuts have healthy fat content along with protein and fiber. All of them are quite important for your body and if you are bored of having the same old nuts day after day, here are some quick fix nut snacks that you might like.

Nuts can be eaten almost throughout the day. But snack time could be the best time for having nuts. If you do not like the simple nut, here are some preparations for you that you might like to try.

  • What can be easier than spiced nut? In order to have a different flavor in the nuts, you can always try the pistachio nuts with Chinese 5 spices. This spice is a mixture of 5 types of spice namely, clove, cinnamon, star anise, fennel and schezuan peppercorn. It adds some mild but distinct flavor to the nuts. Use some orange juice, kosher salt and the 5 spices, mix them well, coat the pistachio with the mixture and bake in a pre heated oven for 45 minutes, turning them over every 15 minutes. Take out, and enjoy a healthy and delicious nut snack.
  • If you have a sweet tooth than you would love the walnut and oatmeal cookie. This is healthy and easy to make. All you need is a baking oven, some eggs, flours, some toasted walnuts chopped, regular oatmeal, brown sugar, vanilla essence and butter.  Put the eggs, browns sugar, butter, vanilla essence and beat properly. Add oats, flour and a pinch of salt in the mixture. Mix well and put the walnuts. Now in the preheated oven, put the mixture in round shape using a spoon. Bake until the cookies turn light brown. Your healthy nut snack is ready.
  • If you wish to have something salty, spicy and tangy, chili lime peanuts is a very good option. The ingredients include unsalted peanuts, lime juice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and kosher salt. Preheat the oven at 250F.  Put cayenne pepper, kosher salt and lime juice in a bowl and whisk. Then add the peanuts and stir well. Put the peanuts in the oven and spread them on the racks evenly. Bake for 15 minutes stirring in between. Cool them and enjoy a delicious snack.
